War Eagle . . .
Well, it’s not the best season we’ve had, but at least our Auburn Tigers are coming around . . .
I’m not sure what happened with the polls this week . . . after last weeks’ upsets, I expected some of the teams (Florida) to fall farther . . . and Auburn to reappear on the rankings . . . I guess it’s a typical Auburn year in the rankings . . . we’ve gotta fight for any attention from everybody. I won’t say we don’t deserve it this year, but I think our record over the past three weeks at least deserves a nod into the polls. We’ll see on Monday.
Of course, with several ranked teams losing again this week, several 2-loss teams will be left (like Gary’s Bulldogs), so it will make a lot more room in the polls. Florida has just now scored first against LSU. I lived in Orlando. I really hate Florida. But, I think I actually want FL to win this one. We were the only ones to beat them as National Champs last year. Two years in a row would give us a certain level of bragging rights. Plus, a loss for LSU leaves room for us in the SEC west.
ANYWAY, it was really cool to be a part of the first-ever Journey Church Family Tailgate. We were behind the new Science complex in the lawn where Sewell hall once stood. Anyone in town for an Auburn Game, let us know and we’ll let you know if we’re gonna be out there. It was fun and we had a ton of food. I think it’s a great way for us to gain some name-recognition in town and get to know folks as they walk by. Also a great chance for us all to “do life together.”
So far, it’s no as good of a day for Emily’s Aggies. I hope Fran can get it together . . .
Time to work on Travel Guides . . .
