Happy Father’s Day

Wow.  It’s hard to believe this is my first “official” father’s day!  We celebrated last year, as Katie was developing in Emily’s womb . . . but this year I get to enjoy the smiles, giggles, and hugs of a cute little girl.

It’s been a crazy year, but seeing my little girl grow and develop has been an amazing blessing that can eclipse a mutlitude of struggles.

We went to a church this morning that is part of the One Prayer series and got to hear Craign Groeschel of LifeChurch.tv share a message about God as Father . . . makes me think about how part of my responsibility is to represent God to Katie as she grows up.  Being a father also helps me also see how God deals with me and puts up with me.
